QOTD: A GR Toyota Grand Highlander?
An independent digital artist in Hungary has decided to render something no one asked for but at least a few thousand folks probably would buy -- a GR version of the Toyota Grand Highlander.
X-Tomi Design came up with a rendering that included a new front bumper and grille and an added lower diffuser. Other mods include larger wheels, two-tone paint, and body-color wheel arches. The suspension on this fake Grand Highlander is lowered.
Obviously, this is just a rendering by someone who has, as far as we know, no connection to Toyota. We doubt that Toyota would build such a thing.
But there's a difference between "would" and "should". Should Toyota build something like this? A GR Grand Highlander with a body kit and lowered suspension? Perhaps in limited numbers?
Or would such a thing just be lot poison, forever doomed to sit in the dealer's showroom for far too many days, getting miles only from joy-riding porters, until some well-off soccer parent with too much money and memories of the sport-coupe they had 20 years ago finally ponies up?

Not sure they can shoehorn the TT-V6+Electric motor from the Tundra max in there, but that would possibly get some money out of my wallet.
Wife's 11 year old RAV4 has given us many years of solid returns after paying it off in year 3, but it is getting long in the tooth and a 430hp/500tq stretched Hilghlander sounds comfy AF to tow the camping trailer with.
Considering how fashionable "hybrid" powertrain hype now are (F1, "supercars"): A GR Prius wold make more sense....

"GR" should be reserved for manuals like the Yaris and Corolla.
