Today's UCOTD is a 2007 Audi A3 S-Line 3.2 quattro with an automatic transmission. Hey there, a wagon!

The ad copy is sparse but we see that this Virginia-based car has the cold-weather package, 119K miles, and OZ racing wheels. The seller claims it has been well maintained.

Click here to check it out -- the seller claims more pics will be added later.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

Did the recommended maintenance every 40,000 miles. First one the dealership covered owing to some TSB which I can’t recall, and the second at 80,000 which I did myself. Sold it at 96k.

Well, he's asking bit more than I thought my low mileage one-year newer A5 S-Line 3.2 quatto with a manual was worth, but folks always ask for a higher price to begin bargaining with.

After owning two used Audis, I would avoid this like the plague. Expensive parts and maintenance and too many annoying problems. If you can do the work yourself and you enjoy it, then it could be a great hobby car for you.

I had a 2007 A3 S-line, but with the 4 cyl (chipped) and a manual transmission. Best car I ever owned. Expensive to service and except for the AC recall, and windshield trim, very reliable. More than the 1999 Silverado or 1989 Cheyenne I owned before. I sold it before the timing belt change so I could buy a car before I moved to California where the the nearest Audi specialist was a 2 hour drive.
