The Audi S3 promises 300 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque from its 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Err, wait a second. That’s not the hot hatch you are looking for. The real pictures are below. You can tell it’s the real thing because of the LED headlights. That’s what makes it premium, dontchaknow?

No, the S3 is quattro just like every other S car before it. And Haldex is just another AWD system. Audi has used many different kinds over the years. quattro is just a badge they slap on the car.

@racingmaniac It makes as much sense as saying a Taurus is making SRT-4 power or a WRX STI is making SRT-4 power or a F150....Poor choice of title is poor...

the point that the title is making is that the SRT4 caliber came out in '08 - the audi S3 isn't exactly pushing the limits of pocket rocket HP numbers in 2012. c'mon people, not a difficult concept to grasp here!

  • Jalop1991 Way to bury the lead. "Toyota to offer two EVs in the states"!
  • Jalop1991 I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.
  • Jalop1991 We need a game of track/lease/used/new.
  • Ravenuer This....by far, my most favorite Cadillac, ever.
  • Jkross22 Their bet to just buy an existing platform from GM rather than build it from the ground up seems like a smart move. Building an infrastructure for EVs at this point doesn't seem like a wise choice. Perhaps they'll slow walk the development hoping that the tides change over the next 5 years. They'll probably need a longer time horizon than that.
