Video of the Week: Rodney Dangerfield's Guide to Auto Repair
Reading about yet another yahoo automotive technician destroying a sports car on a joyride today, I was reminded of this classic.
Spend a few minutes this afternoon laughing along with the late, great Rodney Dangerfield, Bubba Smith, Morgan Fairchild, and former NFL'er Dick Butkus. My Chicago bias is showing here but may I point out that Butkus, if you're wondering what he's up to these days, is a fun follow on Twitter.
Speaking of fun, have a laugh or two. Make sure your favorite mechanic sees this.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

1985. Most of you guys were just starting graduate school back then.
As with Office Space, that Dangerfield piece is more documentary than comedy.
(In a Homer Simpson voice)
Mmmmmm Morgan Fairchild (drool)
It occurs to me that the automotive repair I did this week would have gone much more quickly if I were working on that Nova.
