The Ram Revolution will be shown at CES today.

What would you like to see from Ram's EV truck? Do you want to see it be similar to the Ford F-150 Lighting? Or something dramatically different?

We'll have the full story for you later today, once the embargo lifts.

Until then, feel free to sound off below.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

A real range of 300+ miles in normal conditions, not best case lab tests. Would be nice to have 200 miles with a load.

A radio/phone interface other than a tablet tacked onto the dash

Knobs and buttons for things like climate control

Stripped down work truck package with vinyl seats and rubber floors

    A price starting under $35,000

A certificate stating that I am both a manly man and a virtuous planet saving progressive :)

3/4 ton & 1 ton pickup truck towing and hauling with EV powertrain.

That's easily possible, but your range and price targets will be mutually incompatible.

A consistent price that doesn't get raised every other week. An actual no nonsense interior, higher efficiency vs a Lightning, and more realistic range estimates @ 70 and zero degrees F even if it is lower (probably an EPA ask, but regardless)

EPA is usually very realistic at 55+ degrees. A separate estimate at 15 or 20 is a good idea, though. Would help incentivize more efficient heating systems.

A guy here, total American, smart guy told me about F150 electric - nice on the paper, but can't really do anything with it. Get a diesel.
