Housekeeping: Memorial Day, 2023 Edition

As per usual when faced with a holiday weekend, we are going to be off.

I don't like to say we're "celebrating" Memorial Day, so much as we are honoring those who died serving our country.

As is often the case when we're off, you might see some scheduled content popping up, and if news breaks we'll cover it. But otherwise, we're taking time off til Tuesday. Back to the grind next week.

Be safe, don't drink and drive, and come back strong next week. We'll see you then.

  veterans day is for veterans. it is in november sir. Memorial day is for our war dead. Things in their proper place -please.

  I deleted my reply which was in response to a reply made by Redapple2 which I noticed that specific response from him is now gone. Since that remark is no longer here then the response is not relevant thus I deleted all my prior responses. Remember vets who have now passed and thank them for their service.

  It was necessary because the response to my remark was after the other remark I responded to was deleted. Without the other remark my remark was out of context and no longer applied.

  Redapple, I appreciate the distinction, but I want to reiterate my sentiment. Any one of our veterans could easily have been one of those that we are remembering today, and I am grateful to all of them for risking their lives in the service of our nation's safety.
