Another example of what can be done with MQB: a targa top clone of the Juke using the 2.0T engine and Halex AWD.

One part Juke, one part X-90.
I know VW would never build this, but if they do, I hope they offer it in teal or purple.
My first thought was the X-90; and that was SO successful!
Far more practical than an X-90 since it has a hatch and a rear seat.
Two words: Isuzu Amigo.
This needed to exist?
The thing about concept cars is that they can look worse than production cars do after, say, five or six years have gone by. This is because they often embody the most gaudy and ostentatious design trends of their respective eras. Some cars, like this early-aughts Jaguar F-Type concept (http://www.uk-concept-cars.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Jaguar-F-Type-Concept-Rear.jpg) look like timeless expressions of art and passion. But this T-ROC concept is one that will be painful to look back on in half a decade. I really can’t even look at it *now* without grimacing. How embarrassing…
There can’t be enough two-door (or technically, three-door?) SUV/CUV vehicles out there. I hope that this comes as is toned down to being production-ready, of course…
IROC>T-ROC
Nice to see a removable targa top on something other than a 911 or Vette. Maybe the t-top will return in some form.
Wow it’s a 2 door t top CUV that world has not been asking for.
If VW built this, they’d price it at some ridiculous figure, $35k or something, as they tend to do with anything “convertible” that they bring to market. Then it would flop.
WTF is “T-ROC” supposed to mean — “Turbo-Race of Champions”?!?
