Housekeeping: Happy New Year!

Time rolls on. One year ends, another begins. And so on and so forth.

That means we're shutting down a little early today, though a few pieces might post after this one does. We'll shake off our hangovers and be back Tuesday with the usual shenanigans, and some new shenanigans, as well.

Take it easy, don't drink and drive, and have fun this weekend. Oh, and go Irish!

See you Tuesday.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

Argue less on TTAC in 2024? Or argue more? 🤔

I wish all a happy, safe and fulfilling New Year. Remember, abuse alcohol responsibly and don't look for sympathy tomorrow.

Hey as you are leaving Rose Bowl Stadium (following the triumph of James Hackett's old team) and need a quick side trip to allow traffic to dissipate, ArtCenter College of Design is less than 3 miles away. (I love side trips)

If you appreciate all the sameness of the mushmobiles parked at the football game, stop by and express your thanks to those responsible. Reminder: Throwing rocks at glass structures is frowned upon; perhaps a written note will suffice.
