This Chicago-based 2004 Volkswagen Beetle convertible is a bit different from our usual pickings.
There are 124,000 miles on the clock of this automatic-transmission car and it is a GLS trim.
It appears to be pretty stock, with the 1.8T engine, a cold-weather package (heated seats), a wind-blocker, cruise control, a Monsoon sound system, and 17-inch wheels. It's a one-owner car and it appears to be well-maintained.
The only apparent modification is a dealer-installed CD changer in the armrest.
Check out this Chicago-based car here.

Both yes. First generation soft top isn’t bad to replace.
The hardtop convertible is made by Inalfa. It’s generally terrible. Nice looking car though!
That vehicle, in that condition, at that price is very tempting. Indications are that its owner is exactly the type of person you want to buy a used car from.
Wait for an sc430
Sold. But meanwhile, somewhere in NJ...a year newer, 50K less miles, a bit cheaper, and a non-all-black interior: 2005 Beetle. Apparently needs a little TLC, but looks nice in the pictures.
