My brother has owned 3 of these in various flavors over the years. And while its an amazing driving machine (I've driven it on track). I fail to see $40k here when my 2014 C7 Z51 is about the same price on the used market. For the $$ the 'Vette is newer, has way more interior storage, a V8, quicker and with the mag-ride and PTM system will handle almost as good. The main reason I went with Chevy is engine is totally accessible in case you need to turn wrenches for any reason. The Cayman's engine location may give it awesome handling but even doing an oil change is a challenge. When I was looking at buying one you have the additional problem of how Porsche's are configured. Its almost impossible to find two models with the same option boxes checked. And as mentioned color choices are pretty limited.
