TTAC Rewind: 2012 Nissan Sentra Rental Review
Today's TTAC rewind for your late afternoon perusal is about a decade old. Former TTAC'er Jack Baruth was in sunny SoCal and got his hands on a 2012 Nissan Sentra rental.
We'll let him take it from there -- enjoy. TTAC is back at full boat tomorrow.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

A throwback to when TTAC was still TTAC.
Out of any ideas for new articles...
Re-running articles from a DECADE ago? Pathetic.
More like full lifeboat. Bob Farago's ship was run onto the rocks by a bunch of mediocrities some time ago, it would appear.
Time to start "TTAC's Greatest Sins" or - more likely - "TTAC Deathwatch".
I'm into it. An occasional trip on the WABAC machine is of interest to me.
Thinking of Nissan I have to suspect being an underachiever is their goal. Not since the SE-R has the Sentra been class leading. "Most likely to be a rental" is as appropriate in Nissans yearbook in 2022 as it was 2012.
