We reported yesterday that the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado might come to the United States.

So, naturally, the question is ... should it?

Not much more to add here, this one is pretty self-explanatory.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

No. Bring back the J80 with an inline six and reduced electronics (i.e. no giant touch screen) and they will probably sell like hotcakes

Its an SUV so I am shocked they don't already offer it.

It's just a 4runner with a pointless barn door. Or a downmarket GX. Great vehicles for those who need them, in places they are properly sized for. But in he US, most have precious little need to suffer the limitations arising from their reduced size, vs larger BOF vehicles.

Yes, we need another gas guzzling SUV in this country like EBFlex and Tassos need more peters to puff
