Definition of woke per Oxford dictionary--"aware of social and political issues, especially racism. Notice the original definition of woke is an awareness which is not negative but the definition has been adulterated by those who oppose any discussion of awareness of social and political and issues of race.

To be honest, both sides play that. It's how the Republicans have locked in their core. They are always pointing to the latest thing to be mad at or to hate while never addressing what the core of the problem is. Each election cycle, it's a race to the bottom on who can anger the most people. And how anyone who calls themselves a practicing Christian and look at Trump as their guy...wow. Ask him to list the 10 Commandments and get comfortable. It might be easier for him to list what ones he hasn't shattered yet. Democrats try to run policy but are so splintered that they can't appeal to many in their base. The Republicans pray the outrage tactics brings people to vote but have not a clue on how to be productive if they actually get the chance.

The Republicans don't care they just want the power and as you stated the Democrats are splintered. I also like the saying "divide and conquer" which is another tactic used by many current Republicans. Agree it is a race to the bottom with many Republicans pledging their allegiance to Trump and many of those Trump followers believe he is their Messiah. The only Republican Presidential candidate that stood up to Trump was Chris Christi who has now dropped out of the race the others will pledge their allegiance to Trump if he is the nominee even if he threatens the very foundation of America. I was raised in a Republican family and for most of my life I have voted Republican but I will not vote for a candidate that calls veterans fools and disparages them. Trump's message is Retribution and arresting those who oppose him and wants to suspend the Constitution those are actions of a dictator. Trump is not a true Republican nor does he care about the people who vote for him, he cares only about himself. He is a narcissistic sociopath.

I grew up during the time of polio and remember the devastation caused by it. Also remember getting Chicken Pox and the German Measles and at that time there was no vaccine.

Those vaccines actually prevent you from getting the underlying disease. Literally no one is opposed to those vaccines. The COVID "vaccine" does NOT prevent you from getting the disease--at best it should be called a "treatment" and not a "vaccine."

Master Baiter--Do you understand that a virus can mutate and change making it harder to update a vaccine? Isn't it better to get a vaccine that might lessen the effects of getting a virus than to risk getting a virus that could potentially kill you? I do not ever remember the medical profession promising that the Covid vaccine would prevent people from getting Covid but they did say it could lessen the symptoms of Covid and prevent death. A flu vaccine can prevent most strains of flu but it will not keep you from getting the flu especially if it is a newer strain of flu that the vaccine does not cover. Of course you could expose yourself to a virus or flu to build your own immunity but there is a potential of a prolonged illness or death. For those of us who are older or have compromised health a vaccine could make the difference in having milder symptoms or potentially saving your life if you caught Covid or the flu. I would rather take the vaccine and take precautions to keep myself from getting something but if you choose to not do that then that is on you. Maybe you should do a little more research on the purpose of vaccines and how viruses are constantly mutating and changing. Unless you are a doctor or a scientist who has experience with viruses you might not want to give out medical advice and encourage people not to get vaccines.
