"•GM will decide Oshawa’s fate in 2016." At least the exchange rate advantage is coming back. A 20% difference in favor of the US dollar can't hurt. Looks like all those currency devaluers might get their wish. It just comes at the expense of Alberta.
Without those massive tax payer handouts I would like to see how profitable GM Canada really is, or for that matter Musk. Maybe the Canadians' should go down the Australian path and stop subsidising industry. Let industry stand on it's own two feet. The wasted dollars injected into these non-performing industries could probably be better invested and created real jobs, not jobs for socialist/unionist reliant on handouts from their fellow countrymen and neighbours. I suppose they feel good about themselves taking money away from others in their country, literally taking food out of babies mouths.
While I understand Musk's Nixonian view of the press and critics, Tesla - as a business - cannot share the same view since they are a public company. Keep it up, and they will invite legal examination, likely prompted by their own shareholders.
