While researching Ssangyong, I came across this photo of a true unicorn – a brown, compact pickup truck.
The Actyon is Ssangyong’s version of a crew cab compact truck that has become so popular in Australia. Yes, it has a diesel and an available 6-speed manual transmission.

Offer it with a station wagon option, and it'll sell like hotcakes. 'nuff said.
There's a whole fleet of these for sale on eBay as "gliders" (no engine/trans installed) for 4 grand each. 2008 model year, unused, parked in California for the duration, from a failed electric conversion program. Will a GM LS fit? Supposedly designed for Mercedes 4 cyl diesel. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Other-Makes-Ssangyong-Actyon-Actyon-Sports-Plus-NEW-GLIDER-PICKUP-TRUCK-CREW-CAB-MAY-USE-W-TOYOTA-/131282873056?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1e9111aae0&item=131282873056&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
Turbo diesel? Sounds perfect for me... the one in the picture is WAY better looking then the mess shown on eBay.
Pretty popular in the used market in Cambodia as well, though most of those I've seen are too old to have the updated, more mainstream front fascia. This is one I saw last week: https://flic.kr/p/pdnAkC
