I was not previously aware that I need a twin-steer Scania dump truck.

Interestingly enough, truck maker Scania is named after the province in Sweden that I'm living in. During summer, those bright yellow rape fields are all over the place, the whole countryside is that burning bright yellow.

Canola is derived from a variety (varieties?) of rapeseed oil. IIRC, it's actually a defined product, but yes, it is a type of rapeseed oil.

It's ironic that the Swedes can't keep their cars but their heavy machinery does well. How does Scania compare to the Volvos?

Overshadowed by carmageddon, 2009 has been a bloodbath for trucks. Shipping is hit first when the economy tanks. Saab trucks had long been sold to VW. VW is busy merging them with MAN and VW's own hapless "Nutzfahrzeuge" (utility vehicles) division.Target: One huge truck empire. VW's own never got much beyond the VW bus stage. People working there are derogatorily called "Nutzis" in Wolfsburg.

Minor differences, both (Volvo Trucks, Scania) considered premium and really sophisticated vehicles. Global sales leader though, is Daimler.
