Not many in Colorado, according to the Colorado Springs Gazette, which reports that the Motor Trend Certified Advantage [yes, really] network is joining Sears in mopping up culled dealers. What GM’s pump-em-up video leaves out: the fine print explaining how the new-look dealership renovations will be paid for.

GM needs to do more then a dealership facelift.. they need to stop the negative advertising (last year they were doing the self-deprecating advertising if you don't like it you can return it.. then turned to trying to bash Honda, then turning their Buick vs Lexus. They need to promote what positives they have (if there are any).. the negative advertising leaves a bad taste. The comparison of Honda was comical & sad.. Honda is more reliable & more dependable. Yes they are trying to say they get better mpg, but at what +1mpg better even 2 or 3.. is not enough to compensate for all GM's ills. Back to the facelift.. we have a local honda dealer that I hate, because of how they treat people, I love hondas but I won't buy from our local dealer (so I turned to Kia, and looked at other makes).. the local honda dealer did a major facelift... but a prettier dealership does not make up for other issues, like their staff. For GM a facelift can not make up for the (lack of) quality, their reputation, the bail out and bankruptcy. Now the bailout.. for GM obviously is focused on advertising and dealership make-overs? Are you impressed?
"Why can't we be the Ritz-Carlton of car dealerships?" Seriously? You are living on the tax payers' dime. I know people who are loosing their homes and life savings. Hey Americans... walk past your local Gov't Motors stealership to see where your money went.
