The Acura TLX – and the RLX before it – has long been a competent premium sedan with somewhat of an identity crisis. Straddling the line between luxury and performance, the car doesn’t go far enough in either direction to be particularly memorable, but it’s quick and comfortable and offers a good deal more value than its European rivals. Acura gave the car a much-needed mid-cycle refresh for 2024 as it enters the fourth year of its second generation.

Acura TLX to Debut Digitally Before End of May

Last year, Acura previewed the Type S Concept at Pebble Beach, making itself an exciting brand for the first time in years. The model heralds the return of the marque’s performance nomenclature and gives us a taste of the next-generation TLX sports sedan — which will be the first Acura product to wear the Type S badge in quite a while.

On Wednesday, the company announced the new model will debut on May 28th. Not surprisingly, it also confirmed the next TLX will share as much with the concept car as regulators allow.

  • SPPPP Vibrant color 9 times out of 10 for me. There may be a few shapes that look just right in metallic gray, for example. There are a few nices ones out there. And I like VW "White Silver". But I'd usually prefer a deep red or a vibrant metallic green. Or a bright blue.
