Season 5 of "Drive to Survive" on Netflix drops today. Are you watching?

I will be honest -- I have not been watching the show about life in Formula 1, but I do plan on binging it someday. I haven't been watching in part because I don't follow F1 super closely -- I tend to watch just a bit here and there during the season -- and in part because I always think it's going to be harder to commit to binging a show than it actually is.

What about you? Are you watching? Or is it not your cup of tea?

Sound off below.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

I started watching it about a month ago. My wife watches General Hospital and I call Drive to Survive my soap opera. I think it really humanizes the drivers and the teams.

Watching! DTS brought my wife and daughter into F1. My son and I have been watching for decades. Now the girls are into it, too. Got tix for the '23 CDN GP in MTL. 🏎

This is one of the few shows my wife and I watch together. I like racing, and she likes the drivers - especially when they aren't wearing shirts.

Fair enough criticism, but it doesn’t change the fact that my statement is true. The racers back then were men and you looked up to them. Not true with todays drivers..
