Geneva 2014: Alfa Romeo 4C Spider

Looking like an Alfa-fied Elise, the 4C Spider loses its roof and gains a custom made exhaust by Akrapovic, best known for making very loud aftermarket systems. Sound’s good to me (no pun intended).

Every time I see this car I grimace that it doesn't have a manual! If ever there was a modern car whose target buyers are sick shift fanatics it's this one. Hope it they realize their mistake b4 the car goes out of production.

Agreed. I'll take a slower manual car over a faster automatic almost every time. Especially with a nice solid gated shifter. /drool

Seems more like a targa than a spider.

  • Todd Reasland "For the SV, the FWD starts at $23,680 and AWD adds $25,330. " Yikes...25K more to get AWD? :)
  • 1995 SC I think it's different now and the manufacturers just sort of leak them to the desired automotive "influencers" but it is still interesting with some cars. The C8 was a good example because it was such a radical change.
  • ECurmudgeon One wonders why they didn't just go with a fleet of RHD Ford Transits, but the answer is, of course, "money."
