Thanks, Farago. Not just for giving me my start at TTAC, but for all your great work here and at Jalopnik. Thanks for attacking issues intelligently, honestly, with wit, and without deference.

Wow, it’s the last day already? Time goes quickly when you’re reading about imploding car companies.
Thanks for all the work you’ve done on TTAC up to this point. It’s sad to see you go. I always loved reading your GM posts because you saw it coming years ago and had the balls to write about the impending failure back when most other people thought you were insane. Good luck with whatever you end up doing in the future!
Fair winds & following seas, Mr Farago.
While your time w/ TTAC may be done, something tells me you won’t be slipping off the face of the blogosphere. Men of your prodigious talents don’t just disappear altogether. I’m sure we’ll again have the pleasure of absorbing the writ of your sagacious mind.
Mr. Farago – I’m still quite new to TTAC, only been reading for the past few months but it’s clearly apparent that you will be missed. Kudos to you and the TTAC team for running an uber-successful blog, and (I’m sure im not the only one) we hope you will return once in awhile!
Thanks for everything, Robert. You’ve created an original, useful, and entertaining site on the web – that ain’t easy, and doesn’t happen very often. I’ve enjoyed reading your posts, the occasional email correspondence, and the spirit with which you have infused this site. I hope you’re happy in your next endeavor, and look forward to reading your work again.
Sorry to see you go, RF. I’m indebted to you not just for posting a few of my rants, but for creating the most direct and insightful auto blog on the web.
I can’t help but regret that the palette here will miss some critical color with your exit.
Best of luck to you in your next pursuit.
Cars come and go…websites come and go…but you’ve started one here that I think will have a good long run. My best wishes to you, and I hope that whatever you’re doing next I get to read your writing about it.
Thank you, Robert!
For your contribution to car enthusiasts all over the world, and thanks for giving me an opportunity to contribute to your site.
I trust you’re not a beat up as those cars on the video…yet! So; keep making noise!
Thank you for creating such a great site, Mr. Farago. I’ve enjoyed reading it nearly every day since I discovered it about 2 years ago. I was taken in by the witty writing style, intriguing topics, and the GM Death Watch articles. I was really taken aback by the first GM Death Watch article I saw because (1) I had never seen such a blunt article about GM making non competitive products, (2) It was hard to believe such a household name in the industry could fail, and (3) the article was labeled as being the umteenth one of a series. I had to click through a bunch of the GM Death Watch archives before I could believe someone had been writing about the issue for so long and in so much depth and with well supported arguments. After that, I was hooked. I may not always agree with what you’ve written, but usually do, and always respect your frankness and knowledge on the subject of cars and the business of making and selling them. I will certainly miss seeing you post here, and wish you the best in whatever your future pursuits are.
RF, thanks for turning me into a TTAC junkie. Your posts were entertaining, informative and I love your sense of humor. Thanks for your efforts & good luck.
So long Robert. I have been reading your stuff now for almost 2yrs now. Best of luck in your future prospects. Here is hoping you still stop by TTAC once in a blue moon.
RF, you pissed me off last week so badly that I swore I would never return to this site. It says much about the power and passion of your writing that I find myself breaking my oath and returning to type this farewell; you’ve turned me into a hopeless “Truth” addict. You were always polarizing, but it came from the depth of your convictions, and I can always respect that even if I don’t always agree with your views. Good luck; you will be sorely missed.
Thanks, Robert for your vision, your humor and for creating the most entertaining auto site around. I know we all wish you well in whatever you do in the future. I certainly hope that, even if we don’t see your byline in TTAC, we’ll enjoy your occasional acerbic and well-written commentary. Best wishes!
Adios Robert-I liked your honest, direct approach to the site.
The best example was when I submitted an article that defended a former late night TV host’s status as a “real” car guy.
Your response was economical and straight to the point – “PR blowjob”.
Thanks for opening the door at TTAC
PS-Great exit. That is a classy video with some great old iron and a well chosen soundtrack.
It’s been a pleasure reading your posts over the years Robert. Thanks for the memories and hope to see you again here or elsewhere in the future.
God bless.
Thanks for creating a great site, Mr Farago.
Wow! I cannot believe this day has come. I rarely comment but have really enjoyed reading your work. Best of luck with your future endeavors.
Moving on is good.
Robert Farago is the only automotive journalist that matters. Just ask him, he’ll tell you.
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
*snort*
Mr. Farago,
Thanks for giving us a place to discuss our automotive addiction.
It’s been a pleasure to read your editorials.
Thanks, Farago. Not just for giving me my start at TTAC, but for all your great work here and at Jalopnik. Thanks for attacking issues intelligently, honestly, with wit, and without deference.

Robert Farago: Moving Forward.
God bless, Robert, and best of luck. I apologize if it’s been mentioned here before, but what are your plans, or do you have anything lined up?
Thanks for everything and best wishes.
TTAC will not be the same without you.
Thankyou for your honesty insight and humour. All the best in the future.
Mr. Farago,
Thanks for creating the last bastion of civilized and informed automotive discussion.
During your reign, it was a truly unique destination.

Best of luck RF. Thanks for creating a great site.
Of course you know, now this mean’s you’re fair game. :)
On a personal note, my current car purchase was largely based on your review. A 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8. And I love it!
Best of luck in your next concern.
Fair winds & following seas, Mr Farago.

I should have sent you a picture of my ’91 Cherokee and you could have included it (except it still runs and I drive it).
Good Luck!
It’s been a pleasure, Robert. Thanks for giving me a place to post reviews, and for helping get the word out about TrueDelta.
This video is a real bummer, though. I expected something more like this:
Adios, Robert. All the best for your future ventures.
We’ll miss your posts!

The cars in the video are still classy in spite of their current circumstances as are you Mr. Farago.
fair winds and following seas…
Thank You.
Good Luck.
Stay in touch.
Thank you. That’s it, just thank you.
Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish!
Cars come and go…websites come and go…but you’ve started one here that I think will have a good long run. My best wishes to you, and I hope that whatever you’re doing next I get to read your writing about it.
As you drive into the future
May low step-over heights greet you
May firm bolsters and comfy cushions seat you
May the road rise to meet you
Fare thee well, good sir Farago. Alas, I hardly knew ye, but thy presence will be sorely missed all the same.
Blessings to you, Mr Farago.
Bye, Robert and good luck!
In the immortal words of Douglas Adams, “so long, and thanks for all the fish”! Best of luck in whatever you do next.
Thank you, Robert!
For your contribution to car enthusiasts all over the world, and thanks for giving me an opportunity to contribute to your site.
I trust you’re not a beat up as those cars on the video…yet! So; keep making noise!
Robert, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You may be one of the last “oldschool” journalists. I’ll miss your byline.
I hope these young’uns can keep it going.
I hope you come back now and then, just to keep them honest!
Good luck and thanks.
As a final post, utilizing your incredible command of the English language, you said nothing….
Bravo, Robert, Bravo!
I’m sorry, was there a video there?
(Damn firewall!)
I take back what I said :)
Damn.
I believe Ed Niedermeyer is up to the task but, nonetheless, this is most disheartening.
You stood up for truth, and that’s something few will ever do.
Best of luck Robert!
Best wishes !
Thanks for your insights and many hours of good reading.
It takes guts to build something like TTAC, but even more to walk away from it.
Best wishes, Robert, to you and to your deserving family.
