It's a Porsche, Jim, but It Doesn't Sound Like Any Porsche I've Ever Heard Before

Nor, in fact, does the Panamera look like any Porsche I’ve ever seen before, although it’s vaguely reminiscent of the 911. I wonder if they can match the shag carpet in my basement . . .

It sounds ok but the Audi version will still have a nicer interior.

Hmm... Anybody else here have kids, or was I the only one to notice that the start of that little clip -- with the truck, outlined by strings of lights along the edges, passing by a railroad crossing with a tolling warning bell; and the car then rolling backwards down the ramp out of the truck -- was pretty much lifted straight out of Disney's _Cars_? (Trust me, it was. My son is a six-year-old car nut [how the heck did *that* happen?]; I know that frigging movie line by line.) Had to be intentional; it was far too exact to be coincidence.

I like the look and the sound... a lot. For anyone who thinks every Porsche should be a 2-door 911 lookalike, I say stop being so Amish about it.

Just what I wanted. A butt ugly, overpriced four-door Porsche that sounds like a '74 Duster with glass packs.
