The non-Ford vehicles were there at the event as a comparison for EcoBoost-powered vehicles. As such, the 300C was there as a comparison to the Taurus SHO. No major story I’m afraid. Except that the 300 appeared in the middle of a comment about new Ford models being displayed. Jay Leno couldn't have timed it better.

I'd still buy a Charger R/T over the SHO. The EPA says you only give up 1MPG with the MOPAR. I can live with that because I get a V8 exhaust note and the ability to steer with the gas pedal. I also think the SHO looks fairly boring for a sports sedan (although I know not everyone likes the aggressive Dodge look), and the seats on the R-package Dodge look nicer than the Ford's too. Then there's the issue about the SHO's higher starting price. Shame about the build quality and Rubbermaid trachcan-style interior though. The SHO definitely leaves the Charger in the dust for those areas.

Must be part of Ford's "Drive One Challenge". Test drive a Ford and if you don't buy it they will give you a free Chrysler 300.
