LCW Let's You Roll Like The Prez

Ultra luxury cars are cheap. Not for folks like you and me, obviously, but the Maybach’s target market, for example, consider their wheels one of their lesser expenses. Especially when you compare the cost of a car—any car—to, say, a Gulfstream IV (which is such a guilty pleasure these days). Not to mention (please!) divorce. For players at this level, a Quattroporte is still small beer. Even so, I reckon Joe Walsh nailed it when he sang, “My Maserati does 185; I lost my license, now I don’t drive.” For those wealthy people legally obliged to sit in the back of the bus, or simply prefer to be driven, LCW Automotive presents a little personal Obama-mania. Tacky? Yes. And?

Since the Reagan administration, General Motors has built all the presidents’ whips. While the latest Commander-in-Chief-mobile appears to be a steroidal Cadillac DTS, it’s actually a modified medium duty GMC Topkick. As is LCW’s replica.

LCW’s Obama replica limo will have LCW’s full range of custom interior and security options. It’s safe to assume (so to speak) that LCW’s version will not have the classified weapons or defensive countermeasures spec’d on the actual presidential cars. There’s also no word whether customers can replace the presidential run flat doughnuts with bigger rims and low profile tires. One can only hope that customer(s) will go for the understated presidential look.

LCW hasn’t announced prices or specifications, but the company is taking pre-orders for delivery this summer.

We're all flying Gulfstream G 550's now. Traded in the G IV years ago.

I saw a funeral procession a couple weeks ago with a limousine that was a carbon copy of BO's limo, sans really really thick glass. I'd make a political joke, but a couple years ago I saw a carbon copy of Bush 43 limo in a funeral procession, so I guess it evens out.
