BuzzDog: "Let’s face it, as a Chrysler retiree Lido got his at a serious discount."Still lots more than a Prius or even an Escape Hybrid. OTOH, probably less than a Tahoe or Hylander Hybrid, which are what Chrysler will try to market the Aspen against. As to Iacocca himself, Cerberus could do a lot worse in turning to ex-Chrysler media darlings for advertising help. It's unlikely they'll be dialing up Bob Eaton, Lutz, or Dr. Z for such duties.

rudiger, Sure, but at list, which manufacturer is making momey on their hybrid? I'll bet Toyota squeezes a profit out. GM - very, very unlikely.

So, with all of these gigantic hybrids from Detroit (as opposed to "normal-sized" hybrids), you'd think that we're like the world leader in "giant hybrid" powertrains for road vehicles, like city buses. Funny, I've never seen a "hybrid" city bus, long-haul truck, etc. The only thing close to a hybrid that I see (hear) is a diesel-electric locomotive using the few tracks left around here that hasn't been turned into a bicycle trail. I dunno, we're like "cartoon world" where we can buy any kind of glove we want - as long as they have three fingers and a thumb.
