Your caption below.OK, that's not the real name of Chrysler "We Don't Need No Stinkin' Leases" program. It's "Shop 'til You Drive." You have to admit: it's a lot less catchy than our version. I mean, I'm not quite sure how the ChyrCo message parses. Shop 'til you drive away? Shop 'til our salesmen drive you nuts? No se. Here's ex-Toyota and current ChryCo Prez Jim Press' official explanation [via Automotive News, sub]: "We are leveraging the move from leasing to retail purchases to offer our customers the best deals of the year and make buying as affordable as renting." No way Jose! Anyway, the bottom line: 40 percent off sticker for the Ram, 25 percent off MSRP for the Aspen, 24 percent off the Town & Country minivans and 28 percent off Grand Cherokees. Chrysler Financial is offering up to $2k cash on "select" retail purchases and expanding its 72-month financing. Apparently, Chrysler "Celebrates August Retail Purchase and Finance Enhancements." Please don't tell me a Lionel Ritchie soundtrack is heading our way….

Looks like those ladies have been bulking up for the rowing competition. Any one of them should be able to handle the strokes of a big oar.

    40% off new….wow
talk about shredding resale value on existing stuff
does that mean you can pick up a 2 yr old lease return at 60% off?

I think we’re talking good deals here, especially if oil continues to trend down…..

At what point does the price dip below the cost to build their vehicles? I mean I know it is cheaper to lose money at the retail level in order to keep the factories moving a little.

OH BABY! Those are some hotties in the picture above… Surely they got arrested for public indecency – right? I mean, I can see some ankle there! On the other hand – I CAN’T see any ankle. They are wearing stalkings? Ah – loophole around the law!!! Smart!

Its sad when there isnt a price low enough that makes me want to buy ANY Chrysler product.

26theone – That is not sad at all. It just means reguardless of the price you will not purchase junk. I stand beside that mindset as well.

Busbodger : At what point does the price dip below the cost to build their vehicles?

I think they passed that point a while ago. With increasing commodity prices, 0% finance rates, and 30%+ off, they are definitely losing money. Oh well – they have to make room for the new ram that will obviously sell at MSRP, right? They are idiots.

    40%…before negotiating.

    Daft Punk

Fitting Lionel Ritchie tune for Chrysler: “Hello? Is it me you’re looking for?” Apparently the North American market has hung up on them.
