Used Car of the Day: 1968 Ford Mustang
We're staying old school today with this 1968 Ford Mustang.
This one has had the 289 replaced by a 351 Windsor with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. It's a four-speed manual with factory air conditioning.
The seller says little about maintenance but says everything works, and the pictures seem to show little in the way of cosmetic flaws. Our seller says this car runs and drives well and is not a show car -- he or she drives it to cruise nights and that sort of thing.
You can find this one for sale just outside of Huntsville, Alabama, for $30,000. Click here for more.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

Gotta say the '67-'70s were my favorite generation, bulkier from the original but not monster size like the '71-'73. The Mustang II was almost a relief.... fondly remember the bandaid tan color...we had a '66 Ranch wagon in that color as well.
$30K is a little proud. I have an original 64.5 hardtop with 289, 4 speed, rally pac, front disk brakes, factory air, rangoon red paint (original) and if this is worth $30K then mine is worth a lot more.
