Used Car of the Day: 1984 Alfa Romeo S3
Looking to either work on a classic or give yourself a lot of headaches while also watching your money slip away at a high rate of speed? Well, have we got the used car for -- a 1984 Alfa Romeo S3 convertible.
This car has A/C and electric windows and the seller was in the process of restoring it when he or she lost access to a garage. The car has a rebuilt alternator, rebuilt starter, and new vacuum hoses. But it also has some rust.
It won't cost you a mint, though -- the seller wants just four grand.
Check it out here if you dare.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

No, no, no, no.
I do love a good convertible. Except there *are* no good convertibles.
You're getting warmer. I'm a sucker for rusty Italian cars named "Fiat".
Remember the magazine ads for Alfas back in the 80s. They never showed the cars, just a set of keys with the Alfa badge laying amongst some suggestive luxury goods. They probably couldn't get a working car to the photoshoots, so just went with that idea instead.
