Tomorrow is the press/media day for the 2024 New York Auto Show. My rear end is currently parked behind a desk in my Midtown/Times Square hotel, which means I will be at the Jacob Javits Center tomorrow.

At least one other contributor is in Manhattan, and the rest of the crew is following the news from their respective homes. We'll be all over the 2024 New York International Auto Show.

News is already coming out, from Genesis and Kia and Infiniti. Unlike the quiet Chicago show -- so quiet I never bothered to write a recap -- there is an expectation of some news being made in the morning, though the afternoon looks light.

So, I ask of you B and B, based on our reporting and what you've seen elsewhere in the automotive media, what do you want to see?

Sound off below.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

I want more information about Ford’s Project T3.

The Silverado EV needs some competition in the long-range electric pickup space — beyond just the Rivian R1S. The Cybertruck has missed the mark.

The Cybertruck is special in that it’s the first time Tesla has introduced an uncompetitive EV. I hope the company learns from their mistakes. While Tesla is learning what they did wrong, I’ll be shopping to replace my GMC Sierra Hybrid with a Chevy, a Ford, or a Rivian — all while happily driving my Model Y.
