Stellantis Hints at New or Updated Chrysler EV at CES 2023
The Consumer Electronics Show, or CES, has long been an opportunity for people to discover new video games, computers, and more, but it’s increasingly becoming a significant platform for automaker product announcements. We already knew Stellantis was bringing concepts from Ram and Peugeot, but the automaker recently announced that it would also showcase its other brands. We could even see a new or updated EV from Chrysler.
Chrysler unveiled its Airflow EV concept at last year’s CES, so there’s precedent for flashy announcements at the event. Stellantis’ press release states that its Chrysler display “previews the first North American applications of new Stellantis connectivity and introduces the latest developments in its commitment to launching the first Chrysler battery electric vehicle in 2025 and offer a full battery electric portfolio in 2025.”
It's unclear if that means a new concept or a more production-ready vehicle at CES 2023, but the more exciting news is that Ram is bringing its electric truck concept, the 1500 Revolution. The automaker hasn’t released any specs yet, but we may learn more about the last-to-market electric pickup when CES kicks off in January.
Other CES-bound Stellantis vehicles include the Peugeot Inception Concept, Jeep 4xe vehicles, and the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT BEV concept, complete with its unsettling fake exhaust sound.
