Mercedes EQG Interior Spied
Adding to today's list of spied prototypes, the Mercedes-Benz EQG got nabbed by a shooter.
These spy shots from Motor1 focus on the interior. At first glance, the cabin doesn't look too different from the current ICE G-Class offers up, but digging deeper, we see there are important variations.
One such variation is that there is a button for a "tank turn" feature. This feature uses the four electric motors -- one at each wheel -- to help the EQG essentially rotate in place.
The analog clock is gone and there are fewer controls in different, though there is a thin strip of toggles. Finally, there's a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Keep an eye out for the EQG's debut sometime this year, with it slated to have a 2024 on-sale date and model-year designation.

I wonder if this introduction was timed by M-B as a retort to the Citroen exec's statement about EVs killing the SUV bricks.
I'm not sure why, but I find the G to be less interesting than a base model Civic. It's the embodiment of what brand power can do to an otherwise completely lackluster vehicle. Yes, engine choices help but it wouldn't ever have gotten to where it is now without the rapper/actor clout that chased the badge.
Might as well EV the civilian G-Wagon. They never go anywhere that doesn't involve demonstrating conspicuous wealth.

They were (still?) a great 4wd; much smaller than a humvee and as capable as a Wrangler.
