#Ama
We're the TTAC Staff. Ask Us Anything.
Today is the last day of the year for us, and it’s a slow news day following a slow news week, so we’re inviting any of youse who are hanging out online to spend some time chatting with us.
And to ask us (almost) anything you want.

TTAC AMA: I Own An Alfa Romeo 4C
This week, TTAC reader vaujot from Frankfurt am Main chimes in.
To start, you may wonder why I bought this car.

TTAC AMA: I Own A Pontiac G8 With A Holden Commodore Conversion
This week’s AMA comes courtesy of reader APaGttH, who has a Pontiac G8 GT that has been converted into a Holden Commodore replica. Read on below to hear the story.

TTAC AMA: I Own A Catera And An X-Type
This week’s AMA is a double-header, courtesy of reader Mark, who might be the only person who will cop to owning both a Cadillac Catera and a Jaguar X-Type.

This week’s AMA features user AlfaRomasochist and his 2004 Volvo V70R wagon.

AMA About My Isuzu Impulse Ownership Experience
My first car was rarer than a Ferrari. Honest.
Back in 1990, upon turning 16, I bought a 1984 Isuzu Impulse Special Edition. It was exactly like the car pictured above. Yes, it had gold rims. Isuzu sold only 3,000 Special Edition Impulses in 1984. Hence, the rarity.
Truth be told, when I bought the Impulse, I thought it was fugly. I particularly didn’t like the rear end. My dream cars back then were the 1967 Camaro, 1978 Firebird, and the new Camaro RS. But my mom forbade me from buying a dangerous and obnoxious V8. So I ended up with the Impulse. Make the jump to find out more about my Impulse and ask me anything about my ownership experience.
Announcing Our First Reader AMA
After the success of TTAC‘s first AMA ( featuring contributor Jim Yu and his VW Phaeton), we are proud to announce that the second AMA has been lined up for Monday, October 6th.

Own An Interesting Car? Want To Be Pestered About It Online? TTAC Wants YOU For An AMA
Yesterday, TTAC contributor Jim Yu volunteered for a virtual Q&A on what it was like to own a Volkswagen Phaeton. I’m pleased to announce that Jim will be back soon for another AMA (Ask Me Anything) on his very first car, an isuzu Impulse. And we’ve decided to open the floor to anyone willing to contribute.

AMA About My Phaeton Ownership Experience
Ah, the Volkswagen Phaeton. Everyone has an opinion about it. It epitomized Piech’s hubris. It is an unmarketable $100,000 Passat. It is essentially a Bentley Continental Flying Spur, but without the bling. It is the greatest car man has ever conceived.
Like Alfa Romeo, there’s always a rumor that the Phaeton 2.0 will be returning to the U.S. of A. in “a few years”. Again, this week, there is a lot of talk about it coming back.
There is a lot of conjecture and Monday morning quarterbacking about the Phaeton. But what is it really like to own one? TTAC’s own Jack Baruth had two. I, a new TTAC contributor, also owned one. I thought it would be fun to answer questions you have always had about the Phaeton. So ask away!
