They already do, or better. Thinking back over the last couple years to all the places I've charged using public chargers, this is what was around them:
1. Full-size Target store
2. Ski resort
3. Grocery and drug stores
4. Downtown of an older suburb, with restaurants, stores, etc. all around
5. Gas station
6. Downtown of a large city
7. Hotel, with restaurants and restrooms
There wasn't a single one that didn't have at least the amenities of a gas station.

Frequent armed robberies? Seems like EV charging stations would offer softer, juicier prey that are longer immobilized.

  Don't sit at the car if you are worried about this. (Or move somewhere without such a crime problem.) Lots of EV chargers are near stores or restaurants. Go inside.

  What are they going to steal? A Tesla's got a billion cameras and GPS tracking, EV owners aren't the type to carry cash, and pancaking people is the one thing the Cybertruck is good at.

  The mugging of 2025 is more like this. Although I don't believe there is any data saying a EV owner is more likely to be robbed versus anyone else.

Rizzle The price is the same for a manual or automatic. If you want a manual you might want to get a 2025 or 2026 (or older) because who knows if VW will offer the manual in 27. It could be deleted just like they did for the GTI and R. It is too bad you can't get a GLI in S form without the sunroof and with a cloth interior. Same basic car but many $1000s less. Yeah, the red stripes are a bit silly, but someone at VW thinks they are cool. In the good old days they would have put on racing stripes and fake louvers and called it the GLI-X.
