GM, ChryCo C11: What Happens to All Those Perks?

A TTAC source signs in with an interesting question:

I have one on “anonymous background.” Did you know members of the board of bystanders at Chrysler get new cars for life? I’d have thought Cerberus would have gotten rid of that stuff, but no. There is someone I know who was a director who got his new car this year. You think the gov’t is going to change that policy now that we own it? I wonder how many other “traditional” perks that were waaaay too common in Detroit and not the rest of the world are still being given to retired execs and board members?

Speaking of the 300c, I think obama once leased one, with the hemi. Now there's a source of humor for the conservatives here. Perhaps we can ask him to write a review of it. He can talk about hoping for better interior plastics, and changing the gun-slit windows for improved visibility.

TO EACH HIS OWN. My problem is with dumbasses claiming all Chryslers suck based on them RENTING a bullshit minivan or other lesser model. Truth be told...300's, Chargers, and even Sebrings are good cars. Maybe they don't have superior interior design, but they aren't all bad. And to PCH101 That argument of yours is stupid and I assume you are purposefully misinterpreting what i said. If you haven't owned one and you take your opinions from other people who AREN'T OWNERS...then your opinion is bullshit. And in my case, not only do I own one now...but I've owned before - other models specifically Dodge Intrepid and I have in my family 2 DODGES and 3 Chryslers. AND YES...OBAMA DID HAVE A 300C. I wish he'd never got rid of it cause it was a bold American car.

If you haven’t owned one and you take your opinions from other people who AREN’T OWNERS…then your opinion is bullshit. That is as lousy an argument today as it was yesterday. People don't need to own things to know that they don't like or want them. You must not like car magazines, then, because they don't own most of the cars that they review, either. But on the other hand, you must like Consumer Reports. Because they ARE OWNERS -- they buy the cars that they review. So they aren't, er, bullshit...right?

YES Consumer reports are good examples. How about you tell me the average score on a Chrysler or Dodge on EPINIONS.com/Shopping.com? Consumer reports I would say are much more fair and balanced. Its like all of these POOR PEOPLE claiming Mercedes Benz is poor because its reliability ranks under Lexus. And they don't own one. I OWN AN S550 4-matic and I haven't had a SINGLE problem in 2-1/2 years with the exception of not knowing how to perfectly calibrate the massage chair. Yet, these POOR MORONS claim the LS460 is better. Its ridiculous. I also love it when POOR PEOPLE insult Lamborghini's and Veyrons. Makes me laugh real hard.
