Retired police officer, long time car guy. I grew up in my Dad's garge, became mechanically inclined, as well as involved in motorsports competition at a very young age. I won a regional drag racing championship at 18 years old driving a Plymouth. I was into drag racing from early 60s to early 80s. I discovered Sports Car Club of America activities and have been an SCCA member for 28 years. I have never looked back at drag racing. I was partial to Mopar stuff at an early age, but with age came appreciation for all things automotive, including the loss of brand loyalty. My current garage contains a 2011 Dodge Durango Citadel, AWD Hemi, a 2013 Ford Escape Titanium edition, a 2002 BMW Z3 2.5, a 91 Honda Civic Si race car, and a Class A, 35' RV, 8.1 GM engine, Workhorse chassis. I purchased a new Corvette Z51 pkg, 3LT in 2006 and recently sold it in anticipation of getting a new C7. I am 71 years old and still driving everywhere, towing a race car or other car behind the RV. I just did a 15 hour trip from Dallas to Memphis and back in one day...I also teach performance driving classes, for both teens and adults, and also instruct track day driving for various clubs and private companies. I have more than 10K miles on Texas Motor Speedway infield road course and oval, plus many, many miles on other tracks such as Mid Ohio and MotorSports Ranch, among others. I guess I am a geezer car guy...
