BMW is making a lot of news today. Now we have a recall.

BMW of North America is recalling 1,406 vehicles including certain 2026 X5 Plug-in Hybrid, X5, and X7 models due to an improperly sealed windshield. The defect may allow water to enter the power distribution box or electronic control unit, potentially causing headlight failure or an electrical short, which increases the risk of a crash or fire.

Dealers will inspect the windshield seal and repair it if necessary. Affected control units and wiring will also be replaced at no cost to owners. Notification letters are expected to be mailed on October 17, 2025. Owners can contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417 for more information.

  • Pete Skimmel Show me the driver's seat.
  • SCE to AUX They could build a small pickup; it's what the people want.
  • Johnster Maybe Buick-badged versions of the Suburban and Tahoe?
  • Kjhkjlhkjhkljh kljhjkhjklhkjh """As Ford and General Motors are taking billions of dollars in charges given that their electric vehicle plans didn’t play out as they were sabotaged by oil shill republicans"""Fixed that part for you ..
  • Ajla Cars, especially larger ones, falling so heavily out of favor with the buying public killed Buick and Chrysler. When it comes to utility vehicles I don't know what you can really do with either marque that isn't better accomplished with a different brand under their corporate umbrellas.
