Used Car of the Day: 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser

Yes, it's another FJ, I know we've featured at least one before, but your author has a soft spot for these quirky off-roaders.

This one has a 6-speed manual and all-wheel drive, and the seller says it's a daily driver that mostly is used for freeway commuting. The seller also says the service logs are up to date and the wheels and tires are new. He or she is apparently the original owner and says the vehicle has been quite reliable over the years.

For $18,450, it could be yours.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

Can this black wheel fad please die off already? The owner would have been better off refurbing the old wheels or painting them to match the color of the vehicle

  • Turbo Is Black Magic Barra’s total compensation is .048214% of what the musktard wants… that’s the actual number… .048214%… why on earth would anyone pay the musktard thousands of times more to dive bomb Tesla into the ground?

  • Tele Vision A girl whom I went to school with was given a new 1969 Volvo sedan like this one on her 16th birthday in 1986. Her Dad bought the car when she was born. It had 400 miles on it when she got it. 4-speed manual, so we all learned to drive manual in it. Amazing car.
  • Bof65705611 I’d buy Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and rename it Mosport Park.
