Today's UCOTD is a simple, straightforward one. This 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser is unmodified and hasn't been taken off-road.

This Iceberg White FJ has about 80K miles on it, it's an automatic, and factory features include 17-inch wheels, rearview camera, CD player, cruise control, and A/C.

There's not a lot to add here -- this is a nine-year-old rig that's unmodified and decently equipped.

Check it out here.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

This is, shall we say, a cult vehicle. Those who like them are bonkers about them. For others they're a large helping of "meh".

I realize you can no longer buy these but if you've ever shopped a used Toy truck you soon realize the smart thing financially to do is just go buy a new one.

$40K for this gutless pooch w/crappy fuel economy that you can see out of? What a joke!

  • Urlik Not a single memorable thing happened in the big three races this weekend IMHO.
  • Ajla If Goodyear makes rain tires that allow NASCAR to race in damp conditions at longer ovals (other that at Daytona and Talladega) then I promise to purchase at least four new sets of Goodyear tires in my remaining life.
  • Fred Monaco was pretty early in the morning and I nodded off a few times. Indy was rained delayed and I don't like their announcers so I missed much of it. Started watching NASCAR, but kept switching channels and I again nodded out. Too much TV, but then here comes Lemans which will be 24hours of racing. Not sure how much of it will be on TV here.
  • CaddyDaddy Where's Tasos? ....... he's on pins and needles for the outcome of a certain trial in Lower Manhattan.
  • Kwik_Shift_Pro4X Rally Car ain't 'fraid of no rain!
