Ferrari Introducing 818 Horsepower V12 for Limited Edition 812 Superfast

Beset by electric vehicle announcements and planned fueling restrictions, your author has scoured the internet for something you might actually enjoy from the realm of internal combustion. Instead, you’ll be settling for an update on the Ferrari 812 Superfast you couldn’t possibly afford.

The company has opted to make the model a little faster and will be issuing a V12 pushing 818 horsepower while also moving the redline up to 9,500 rpm. Scheduled for an official debut next month, the limited-edition 812 doesn’t have an official name but Ferrari has indicated it will be the meanest GT car in its lineup.

As a successor to the F12 Berlinetta, the 812 Superfast needs to do things in a gutsier manner than the model that came before. It’s also the 70th anniversary of the first Ferrari-badged car, so it only made sense for the prancing pony to make this model its fastest and most powerful production offering to date.

  • Aron9000 Always liked the 70's Nova better than the 1978 A body Malibu that effectively replaced them. The Novas felt a bit more substantial, not as tinny/floppy/rattly/cheap. And the rear windows rolled down on the 4 doors. And the two doors as well if you have a 1974 or older one. Also I dont think Chevy ever offered a 350 v8 on the downsized Malibu, a lame 305 was as good as it got.
