In my senior year, joy was driving the TR-3 with the top down -- a whiff of warm oil and musty leather in the air – the day completed by shifting into 2nd gear as I drove up the driveway. Learned to drive on a TR-3. Had a quirkly father. Bought a Rover TC 2000; Then an Alfa 67 GTV. Then sold them all for 3 Fords. At least they started in the winter and rain. Finally got back to BMWs. I thought it would be fun to have a TR-3. 10 years ago I bought one and had it restored........Today I got over the image problem and I'm on my second Mx5.
