Don't get me wrong, the cars aren't bad. People just aren't into them.
I've yet to see a lease, especially 2-year, that is a good buy at the end. The manufacturers pad them so well they rather sell another car and drop your payments than keepbyou in tgeboff lease car.

Besides even Tesla owners don't have purchase full MSRP with $1,000 advertised off.

sportyaccordy Regal sales are down...

http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2011/01...s-figures.html

And the people buying them are not happy with them....

https://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/201...ear-ownership/

Compared to a Bimmer or Benz its prole roots show. Better to get get a fully loaded Malibu 2.0T.... same car, probably the same price with all the discounts GM has to put on the Regal, but I'm guessing much better resale values so overall cheaper to own (and on a newer platform + IMO much more distinctive and better looking).

The Regal is in a no man's land where it has a price premium w/o a build quality or appreciable content premium over the car it's based on. It's on pace to move less than half its 40K/yr peak in 2011. Clearly there is much more to cars than what CR rates them as (as much as I love and respect CR)

Skip the Benz, BMW, buy a Buick says CR.

There must be some reason behind Buick sales success.
