Default Corvair Rampside Pickup - a "work" truck

I don't know if the owner really uses this 50 year old Corvair Rampside as part of a landscaping business or if he just wants to show how it would have been used back in the day, but I like the display idea along with the fact that it doesn't look restored.

The period correct, and properly sized, 14 inch Torq Thrust wheels look cool too!

The equipment is a bit cheesy, but I love the Torq-thrusts. Very nice.

Back in the day, very few trucks were used for pleasure, they almost all were work trucks, cafe rules were the main driver of pickup trucks becoming a mainstream day to day equivalent of the modern passenger vehicle, mostly body on frame vehicles that are durable enough to pull lifestyle toys with a hitch on the back and last for many years. These ramp sides are really neat, there seem to be more of these than say a ford econoline pickups and vans from the same era, I wonder why that is, why there are not more american three on the tree's running around?
