I am just about done with my 350Z.... fun as **** to drive, but the abysmal gas mileage and road noise are not great companions on my 80-mile-a-day commute. I bought the car long before I got this job, not at all anticipating such a long commute. Main things I want are 4 adult seats, 4 doors, a hatchback body and at least 25 MPG combined though higher would definitely be preferable.
Anyways, I do like the Fiesta ST and could contemplate doing one new or slightly used. But I am not scared of used cars, and was trying to think of other alternatives. I was thinking about the new Mazda 3 2.5 6MT... about the same performance (stock), way more refinement and space, better looks too IMO, appreciably better gas mileage too. Used I was thinking maybe an MKV GTI? My wife has had a 2007 Rabbit for about 2 years now and it's been basically problem free. I know that FSI engine has some problems but I can handle that. If the rest of the car is like her Rabbit, and it handles much better, I would definitely give it a look. Other than that I'm drawing a blank. Any ideas? |

The Fiesta ST is sort of unique in its class, how bout a Focus ST, that would be much closer to the Golf in size.Â*
Focus ST has been out long enough there may be CPO versions available or at least used models at reputable dealers.Â*
