I just received the latest ESQUIRE (June/July 2014) and I have one question for Toyota: are your Lexus marketers on the same planet as the rest of us mere mortals, or have you shoved them through some 5th dimensional portal? I refer to the ad for your 'Lexus Hybrid Drive' vehicles - apparently, where said marketers are, diesel is in short supply.

I drove from Chicago to Las Vegas (don't ask) this past week, and if there is anything that you can reliably find, IT'S FREAKIN' DIESEL! Your ad puts forth the idea that you have to go to great lengths to find the stuff. May I suggest that it may be the weird ugliness of your cars that may be at fault, blindingĀ*your marketing staff, so that they areĀ*unable to locate it? Ok, it's more expensive than gasoline, gosh all hemlock, who doesn't know that by now? Oh, I saw a few places where diesel was the same or not that far off from premium gasoline ... which I'll bet your Lexus' line uses?
