Volkswagen Reveals Four New VW Beetle Concepts www.carpartkings.com Last week, Volkswagen decided to celebrate its 60th birthday by presenting four new Beetle Concepts at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS). The reason behind introducing four concepts was to target the diverse target groups of people who share love for the brand. Not to mention, the concepts pay tribute to the amazing air-cooled Beetle that was built decades ago. The brand successfully managed to grab everyone’s attention at the NYIAS and looks confident on making a huge comeback into the compact car category. The concept cars were given the names R-Line, Wave, Denim and Pink Edition, but no news has yet been released on whether or not any of these models will go into production. For a clearer picture on what each concept delivers, take a look at the reviews below: Beetle R-Line Concept The Beetle R-Line concept is based on the famous Beetle Hatch and comes equipped with a 217-horsepower engine, which is quite amazing for a compact car. The R-Line is generally a sport-focused version of the hatchback look alike, but gets two new round exhaust pipes, new rear bumper with an air diffuser, a sizeable spoiler, and a deep front bumper with three large air ducts. Inside the R-Line, new leather-carbon trim, glossy black seatbelt shells, and sports bucket seats were noticed. Additionally, the car even sports a new speedometer and dials that are finished in a contrasting yellow, thus giving the car a bright and fun kind of an appearance. It was because of these features that among all the four concepts, the R-Line gained the most attention. Beetle Denim Concept Compared to other Beetle concepts, the Denim is the only which has a history. The car is called Denim to honor the Beetle Jeans that were built in the mid 70s. This incredibly cute concept stands out from the Beetle Wave Convertible and has a Metallic Blue Stonewashed paint job that increases its overall beauty and gives a little hint of Denim Jeans. Much of the car’s color is blue including the sports seats, dash pads and armrests. Beetle Wave Concept The Beetle Wave concept focuses more on a convertible theme and will definitely prove to be a good time for the summer if released for production. The car is quite different than the R-Line and features new upgrades on the inside with a genuine wood dash pad that almost looks like a surfboard and classic seating inserts of hounds tooth. Even though the R-Line concept gained the most attention, Volkswagen insisted that the Convertible Wave Concept might quickly make the transition into production. Regardless, even if it does with the Habanero Orange Paint Job and 19-inch Tornado alloy wheels and incredibly fuel-efficient engine, it definitely would prove to be a good buy. Beetle Pink Edition Concept The overwhelming demand from buyers in the US and China inspired Volkswagen to design the Beetle Pink Edition Concept. The shares similar styling cues from the other three concepts, but has a cuter yet sporty look, thanks to its R-Line bumpers and Pink Metallic Paint Job. It seems to be the perfect car for the ladies and young girls and if it gains good feedback might even go into production.
