This story touches on both subprime lending and (tangentially) "autonomous" cars: "[B]efore they can drive off the lot, many subprime borrowers like Ms. Bolender must have their car outfitted with a so-called starter interrupt device, which allows lenders to remotely disable the ignition. All top of the line parts (details to follow).* Car was built by Tee’s custom in Florida in 2003.* It was their 8th conversion and a plaque from Tees is included.* Google “Focus V8 Tees”.* In the photos, Feb 2003, you can see my Dad (his project) top row third from right.* Plus you can see the car in other photos.
