We continue our Ford Friday -- it wasn't planned that way, I swear -- with this good-looking 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350.

We'll disclose right up front that the seller mentions the car has a rebuilt title due to left-front-end damage from when it had 13,000 miles -- it now has 21,000.

This car is for sale in the Chicago suburb of Lincolnwood. Only about 30 minutes, maybe less at the right time of day, from where I sit right now. If I had a bigger bank account I might be scooping this thing up -- damage be damned.

The car has the Track package. For what it's worth, the seller does appear to be a dealer, so keep that in mind.

Slower than a Civic around the Nürburgring.
"If I had a bigger bank account I might be scooping this thing up" Tim, when is the last time you actually owned a vehicle? What are the actual odds of you purchasing one? You keep saying things like this, but it makes no sense.
Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to do some shopping, in case my bank account gets really big really quickly.

  Is it? The GT350R does it at 7:32, yes it's the R with carbon wheels, but there is no official time for the regular GT350. The new Civic Type-R did it at 7:44, which is clearly slower but still impressive, faster than a Gallardo and a few other fast cars.
  Though we later find out the Civic's time is based on a not yet released "S" variant that will only be sold in left hand drive European countries, not the UK or North America.

  I'm just working from the first list here. Production Civic at 7:39.691; no production Fords of any flavor until 8:06.29.

Pig_Iron I one of those weirdos who liked these.
SCE to AUX Inflation adjusted $79k today (!), so I guess $28k is a bargain....This is another retro car that was trying too hard, but it is very nice.
EngineerfromBaja_1990 It might provide an edge in city driving but from what I've read elsewhere the Hybrid trucks are 600 lbs to 700 lbs heavier than the gas only trucks. That translates to a curb weight of around 5000 lbs which is not uncommon for a full size truck.And a test drive suggested the Hybrid is not quicker than the gas only trucks. So it looks like the Hybrid powertrain is pretty much compensating in power for all that added weight while not providing significant fuel savings. Not what many would expect after shelling out an extra $5K - $7K for the next step up in power.

3-On-The-Tree Yes anything offroad or high performance isn’t cheap. My oldest son would do occasional burnouts in his Mustang GT then he had to buy tires for it. Needless to say he doesn’t do burnouts anymore.
