Used Car of the Day: 2012 Scion iQ

We don't feature tiny Scions often, but this 2012 Scion iQ with "tasteful" mods caught my eye.

Those mods include LED lights, TRD suspension, TRD rear sway bar, TRD front sway bar bushings, GRMN replica wheels, drilled and slotted brake rotors with carbon ceramic brake pads, strut bar, custom exhaust, Alpine audio, and more.

I didn't see a mileage number but our seller says it's "low." He or she also says that the car has a few dents and dings.

If you're interested, it's for sale near Seattle for $11,499. Click here for more.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

I suppose an LS swap is out of the question here.

You might have to get creative. Do you mind sitting on a tray above an engine that somewhat intrudes into the cabin? Driving position could be best described as "cramped," but that would make for one hell of an iQ.
