Today's reading is an interesting feature from a few years back on who meet in the car-dealership business.

Some of what's written tracks with my own experience, though I'd probably add a few more. Whatever the case, thanks for spending a part of your Sunday with us.

Now, go read the feature.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

That is a nice 2017 writeup by Steve Lynch. Here is a current link to his book (I just spent big bucks to obtain a copy and might let you know what I think).

Tool: No family. 1 acre on a large lake in GA. If i need my speed fix - I go to a pro level race track with rental Karts ( no sense buying a Mustang GT that you really cant 'run' on the streets). I Do zero towing. CUV fits my life style and age. So, a smaller one. > Of the highest rated 3, the Forester still has real knobs for HVAC, radio and still has a CD player ! Add in crash ratings, resale, and tall windows - No brainer. PS- Was supplier to Subaru Lafayette Plant. They put a lot of $ in my pocket.
