QOTD: Which Model Shouldn't Return?

Today's QOTD is simple, and I won't need many words to set it up.

If you were suddenly czar of the automotive industry, which model would you kill -- and why?

You get to pick one, but it can be any model -- including venerable nameplates and/or ones that are seemingly successful. Or you can play it more straight and choose something that isn't selling. You get to pick -- but explain your reasons.

It's Friday. It's late summer. Let's have some fun playing product planner.

Tim Healey grew up around the auto-parts business and has always had a love for cars — his parents joke his first word was “‘Vette”. Despite this, he wanted to pursue a career in sports writing but he ended up falling semi-accidentally into the automotive-journalism industry, first at Consumer Guide Automotive and later at Web2Carz.com. He also worked as an industry analyst at Mintel Group and freelanced for About.com, CarFax, Vehix.com, High Gear Media, Torque News, FutureCar.com, Cars.com, among others, and of course Vertical Scope sites such as AutoGuide.com, Off-Road.com, and HybridCars.com. He’s an urbanite and as such, doesn’t need a daily driver, but if he had one, it would be compact, sporty, and have a manual transmission.

    You ok, Art?

Ask TTAC: As of this moment, which is faster, my ancient Avalon, or NASA's Airbus rocket with the used engines?

(I kid. It's a jobs program - it doesn't need to actually work, I get it.)

"The Crawler's top speed is 1 mile per hour loaded and 2 miles per hour unloaded". Yep. The SLS is already faster than your average Camry/Avalon driver is comfortable driving. All it needs is one of those "Let me tell you 'bout my grandkids" plates on the front and I doubt you'd even know the difference. As a bonus, drivers of those cars instead operating the Crawler could impede all lanes of traffic instead of just the left as is their normal MO.

And I gotta ask...who cares? It's probably faster than office chair too. Apples to toasters...or perhaps for your average Avalon driver, Prunes to toasters since the Avalon driver is also likely the target demographic for digestive aides and fiber supplements.

@BetterOne, I posted that right after this morning's Artemis I scrub (was watching NASA's feed on the youtube). Was 30% considering a trip to Florida to watch the launch in person but something told me it might be delayed (again).

Will be more seriously monitoring things this week, since the next windows are Sept 2 and Sept 5, and even I can afford 4 nights to bridge two launch dates (i.e., better odds).

Oh gosh, the Camry is not that bad...and i almost said that with a str8 face. I have two choices that should count as 1, the horrible looking eyesores known as the MercedesBenz GLC/GLE "coupes". Never, ever, in a million years will these ugly hatchback looking monsters be coupes, or even coupe-like or coupe adjacent..
